If you use your bike most days then it is probably a good idea to have a service once in a while, that way we can catch any worn or improperly adjusted parts before they do any expensive damage.
An advanced service every year and a total service every couple of years is probably about right for most people. Although if you ride a lot – good on you, you hero - you may want a general service every 6 months to keep on top of it.
I can source parts for you if you would like - give me a call if you’d like to discuss this or just want to talk about bikes or riding.
I’ll test ride your bike before I do any work - unless it hasn’t got a chain or brakes – that way we can have a discussion about what you feel that you want doing, I then test ride it once I have finished, before making any final adjustments.
All prices below are exclusive of parts, unless stated otherwise.
Pumping up tyres and oiling chains is free – of course.
General Service £50
Adjustment of everything that can be adjusted – brakes, gears, headset, hub bearings etc. True the wheels and check all bolts are correctly tightened. Fitting of cables and brake pads if needed is included. Chain is lubricated and tyres inflated.
Advanced Service £75
All of the above, plus all of the drivetrain components removed, degreased, refitted and adjusted. Includes fitting of cables, brakes pads and drivetrain components, such as chain, cassette. For an extra £15 I’ll give it a damn good clean too.
Total service £100
Your bike totally stripped down to the frame, cleaned, regreased and rebuilt, all bearings – headset, bottom bracket and hubs repacked, all cables replaced (price of cables included). At this point any other parts can be fitted.
Puncture repair £15
including a new inner tube.
But I don’t want a service...You might not want a service – which is fine, of course. I am happy to do small jobs but there is a minimum fee of £25.
Individual jobs - charged at £25 per hour – contact me to discuss what you need and I am sure that I can help you out.
